  • The earlier the better – Starting your applications soon before the deadline gets you out in front of the competition. Thousands of people like you are also applying, so it’s important to apply as soon as possible.
  • Meet the deadlines – It is important to keep track of all the deadlines on a calendar or schedule, so you don’t miss out on any opportunities.
  • Be prepared – Don’t rush the process, but take your time when filling out applications. That way you can feel more calm and less stressed.
  • Request letters of recommendation – Letters of recommendation can really support your application, which is why it is important to request these quickly. We recommend people you have worked with, teachers, or someone you volunteered with.
  • Read other essays – Reading example essays and studying on how to write a great essay can help you to improve your writing skills.
  • Try, try again – Don’t give up and keep trying! There are always scholarships available out there. Save your older applications and use them for future reference.

Financial Aid

Let us help you all we can to cover the cost of schooling! We are a nationally accredited institution, which means our school can offer *financial aid to those who qualify. Start your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Our Financial Aid specialist can help you through the process. We encourage you to take advantage of the financial aid opportunities available, so you can start your education sooner than later.

What You Need to Apply

For a smoother process, when covering your income tax returns and W-2 information, you can import your information from the IRS. Also, keep in mind that if you are a dependent student, you must have your parent’s or guardian’s information to complete your form. Here is everything you need to apply:

  • Your social security number
  • W-2’s from your employer
  • Your recent federal income tax returns
  • Any additional income information

How to Apply

Now that you have all your information and specific documents, let’s get started on the application process! Follow these easy steps while you apply for your FAFSA®:

1.) To begin the process, you need to create an account with an FSA ID.

2.) Once you start your FAFSA® form, you are going to provide your basic information first.

3.) List all of the schools you are interested in. Our school federal school code is: 042175.

4.) Determine your dependency status. If you are claimed as a dependent student, you have to report your parent or guardian information.

5.) Provide your personal financial information.

6.) Lastly, sign and submit your FAFSA®.

7.) We highly recommend looking into other financial options you may qualify for, like Pell Grants or VA Benefits.

Student Loans

Student loans are another way of covering school expenses. There are specific loans you can look into depending on the school you choose to attend. If interested, talk to your school about the different loan options that may be available to you.
Expenses outside of tuition can really add up, so you may want to consider looking into a personal loan for housing, food, or personal items. If your credit is good, then you may qualify for a lower interest rate. Keep in mind, personal loans usually have higher interest rates, so we recommend looking at other financial options first.

Another loan to consider is parent plus loans. These loans are available to graduates, professionals, and parents who have a dependent undergraduate. Loans are a way to cover expenses that your financial aid can’t cover.

Work While in School

You don’t have to quit your job to go to school! Depending on your school schedule, you can choose to work while supporting yourself through your studies. Some of our students choose to work part-time and evening hours at restaurants, stores, or jobs that support their daytime school schedules. If your classes are scheduled at night, we highly recommend getting your foot in the salon or beauty industry. You can work as an assistant or office manager/front desk job to gain more experience. This is a great way to build up your resume before graduation. Do all you can now to save up and prepare for beauty school!
