Dream of working in the beauty industry? Looking for a hands-on career that is creative and engaging? The cosmetology program at JD Academy of Salon + Spa was designed to prepare students to become future salon professionals. This hands-on program is led by experienced instructors who know what it takes to succeed in the modern beauty industry. From beauty fundamentals to business and marketing training, our curriculum is centered around career preparation.
From day one of our program, we want cosmetology students to develop their confidence as future beauty professionals. Our program is engaging and hands-on, whether you’re working on a client’s hair or participating in a group project. We’re here to help you develop the skills and self-confidence that will take you wherever you want to go.
Our hands-on approach can teach you how to create clean, precise cuts, perfect color mixtures, gorgeous blowouts, on-trend nails, and SO much more! This is an exciting, welcoming, and creative industry. Think of JD Academy of Salon + Spa as a safe space where you can learn, grow, and create before even entering the workforce.
From day one through graduation, JD Academy is focused on helping you build your confidence in your abilities and giving you the confidence to market those abilities within the industry.
Preparing you with clean, clear and precise foundational techniques that salons are looking for, allowing you to advance from student to salon professional.
Students learn facials, microdermabrasion, light therapy, eyebrow laminating as well as manicuring with gel polish, dip, and acrylics.
Students receive detailed theoretical education to help prepare them to sit for the state board written exam. In 2022 the practical exam will no longer be required by the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Though, JD Academy will provide all students with a Practical Final Exam.
At JD Academy of Salon + Spa, we believe every student deserves individualized learning opportunities. Our low teacher-to-student ratio allows plenty of opportunities for you, the student, to work directly with seasoned mentors. In addition to receiving ample opportunities to practice your skills on real clients*, the program includes detailed theoretical education, business and marketing training, and mock state board exams. We want you to leave our school with the confidence and skills to tackle anything the beauty industry demands.
If you want to see yourself in beauty school but aren’t sure if you can add it to your budget, we’ve got you covered!
